PG&E's new strategy to reduce wildfires... and it's not good

PG&E has shifted away from trimming trees near electrical wires to avoid sparking a wildfire to quickly shutting off power. They’re investing in new technology to cut power sooner to reduce their liability in fire damage.

It’s less expensive for them to turn off our power (sometimes for day) than it is to limb up trees.

What that means to us? We will be without power more often adn for longer periods of time. And, we will lose our ability to communicate with our cell phones and internet.
