CalFire will be conducting a 15-acre prescribed burn this Friday (Nov 4th) from, 9:00AM to 5:00PM. You may continue to see smoke for a few days after the burn.

From the Cal Fire CZU announcement: “The Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) San Mateo – Santa Cruz Unit will conduct an approximately 15-acre prescribed burn near the Lower Helipad on the Soquel Demonstration State Forest on November 4, 2022. The prescribed burn will be conducted between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M.”
