RED FLAG WARNING and what you need to know!

A RED Flag is a fire alert issued by the National Weather Service when warm temperatures, low humidities, and strong winds create an increased risk of fire danger. The criteria for a red flag warning vary by region, but generally include gusts of 25mph or greater and relative humidity 15% or less.

This can cause rapid rates of spread, extensive spotting, and long distance spotting.

Inform your peeps of the upcoming red flag warning. Check around your homes, decks etc. Have a go bag ready. Be very aware of your surroundings, pay attention to radio, tv, social media, etc. Be very careful of BBQ’s, warming fires etc.

Be Safe!
