Pull out your MURS radios and check in with me tonight at 7:00 pm. We’ll get sign ins from our NRG Firewise community. These tests will help us see where we have great communication and where we don’t! When our power is out and we have a wildfire, you’re going to want to hear what the EOC is recommending for evacuation.
At 7:00 pm tonight, check in on your MURS radio. Can someone please take notes with names and a total number of MURS radio users? I need to report that to the EOC using my ham radio. I’m new to ham radios and I’m a bit nervous about how to use my ham radio in communicating with the EOC.
Once I get their message, I’ll report it to all of our NRG Firewise community using the MURS radios.
